K-12 School Profile System

Glossary: Advanced Placement (AP) Course

Developed and provided by the College Board, an organization which aims to prepare students for post secondary education. AP gives high school students the opportunity to try college level work while still in high school. Many post-secondary institutions give credit or advanced placement to students who attain a qualifying grade on AP exams.

In this province students can also get credits for high school certification for AP courses.
