School changes 2005-06

District 1 - Labrador

No changes

District 2 - Western

Templeton Collegiate (#074) has closed Students from that school will be attending Templeton Academy. Templeton Academy is School # 080. This school was formerly Northshore Elementary, Meadows. There will be an extension built on the Northshore building in Medows to house the 7-12 students. The School number for Templeton Academy will continue to be 200080

Howley Elementary(#077) will close. Students will be going to Elwood Elementary .

St James Junior High(#098) will close the 7-9 students will be attending St. James Regional High(#099).

District 3 - Nova Central

Baie Verte Primary (Grade K-4, School #399) will be a K-6 School.

Baie Verte Middle (Grade 5-7, School #126) and Baie Verte High (Grade 8-12, School #125) will be combining into a single Grade 7-12 School * Baie Verte Collegiate. This school will use the school number previously assigned to Baie Verte High (125).

Deckwood Elementary (Grade K-6, School #408) will be a K-3 School. All the grades 4-6 students will be transferring to the new Baie Verte K-6 School.

L. P. Purchase ((Grade 7-8, School #135) will be combining with Botwood Collegiate (Grade 9-12, School #132) to form the new Botwood Collegiate, Grade 7-12 School. Continue to use the current Bottwood Collegiate number (132).

Charlottetown Elementary (Grade K-5, School #182) will be a K-3 School. All grades 4 and 5 students will be transferring to Glovertown Academy.

Avoca Collegiate (Grade K-8, School #398) will change to a K-9 School.

Helen Tulk Elementary (Grade K-5, School #400) will change to a K-6 School.

Bishop's Falls Academy (Grade 6-7, School #130) will change to a Grade 7-8 School.

Leo Burke Academy (Grade 8-12, School #402) will change to a Grade 9-12 School.

Grenfell Intermediate (Grade 7-8, School #139) will change to a Grade 10-12 School for all students in the Grand Falls-Windsor area. The school will be called Exploits Valley High. The new number for Exploits Valley High will be #480.

District 3 - Nova Central

Exploits Valley High-Maple (Grade 11-12, School #141) and Exploits Valley High-Greenwood (Grade 9-10, School #145) will merge into one school, Exploits Valley Intermediate, Grade 7-9. The new number for Exploits Valley Intermediate will be #481

Dorset Collegiate (Grade 9-12, School #162) will change to a Grade 7-12 School.

Green Bay South Academy (Grade K-8, School #167) will change to a K-6 School and the Grade 7-8 students will transfer to Dorset Collegiate.

Brian Peckford Elementary (Grade K-6, School #172) will change to a K-3 School. The grade 4-6 students presently at this school will transfer to Green Bay South Academy.

Heritage Academy (Grade K-6, School #186) will change to a K-3 School. The grade 4-6 students will transfer to Memorial Academy(School #205).

Lewisporte Academy (Grade K-4, School #189) and Lewisporte Middle (Grade 5-9, School #425) will merge into a single school, Lewisporte Academy, Grade K-9. The Lewisporte Academy number (189) will continue to be used.

Leading Tickles Elementary (Grade K-6, School #155) will be a K-3 School. All grade 4-6 students will transfer to Point Leamington Academy.

Indian River Primary (Grade K-3, School #411) will close.

Indian River Middle (Grade 4-8, School #409) will be a K-6 School.

Indian River High (Grade 9-12, School #171) will be a Grade 7-12 School.

South Brook Academy (Grade K-6, School #170) will be a Grade K-3 School. All grade 4-6 students will transfer to the Indian River Intermediate.

District 4 - Eastern

St Bernard's will change from K-3 to K-6. The name will change from St Bernard's Primary(#372) to St. Bernard's Elementary(#372).

St. Patrick's in Bay Bulls(#292) is closed the students from St. Patrick's Elementary will be going to St. Bernard's Elementary (372)

District 5 - Conseil scolaire francophone provincial
